Hello Gals,
I have time to reflect what Kevin Trudeau mentioned in his book and it makes me realized how important to have a good health, understand each symptoms means, how to heal with food and supplements, lifestyle changes, and how your mind can heal your body. It makes me feel powerful in taking care of my health and I dare to try this out. Another thing makes you truly gagging and a wake up call…..each time you purchase food at local grocery store you’re eating toxic food, and fogs your mind. Then you go to conventional doctor and say “Doctor X, my stomach is paining me every day”. Doctor gave you prescription for your aliment. However, doctors are not trained in nutrition health. The pill is toxic and FDA says it is a cure. Are you reacting as surprise, curious, eye-popping, skeptic, or unbelievable?

Hey Gals,
I’ve been reading a book called “Girls Night Out” by Tamara Kreinin and Barbara Camens. It is a wonderful book about women groups all over the red, white and blue country. I like the idea of one group of women that last for thirty years and remain strong. They discussed about life experience, motherhood, single hood, feminist, and you name it all. I encourage you to read this wonderful book and do let me know your perspective…..

Gals,
June and I need your help to share your feedback about planning our upcoming Sunday Brunch sometimes in the month of January 2008. Where will you like us to have the brunch? New Haven or Hartford? Do you want us to invite a guest speaker? If so who do you have in mind? Where is the restaurant you knew of as best Sunday brunch? I added the poll section for location only.
Please contact June or me as soon as possible. Look forward to hearing from you.
DWCly yours,
Cassandra

Gals,
I am in process to gather information in time for this upcoming Fall issue. If you have something to share please submit your story soon. Deadline is September 30th.
Deaf Awareness Week will occur during September 23 to 29, 2007. National Association of the Deaf (NAD) will host “Celebrate ASL!” in observance of World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) International Day of Sign Languages on Friday, September 28, 2007. Please visit CCOSD web site for more information about the events in the state of CT.
I hope you enjoyed reading a previous Herstory about Helen Keller though I would like to inform you that I had a chance to read one of her books, “The Optimism”. It was amazing about her writing because it gave me an opportunity to understand who she was and what she expressed in her thought. In fact, I supported wholeheartedly her book as her feelings and thoughts were really in parallel with ours in reality. She emphasized that we think positive and move on toward whatever we desire to achieve for our dreams.
Stay tuned….

Have any one of you read a book called “Natural Cures “They” don’t want you to know about” by Kevin Trudeau? This book is awesome and very informative. An eye-popping information reveals corruption in government agencies relevant to health care system. It is no wonder why I can’t use my homeopathic (holistic) physician than conventional physician. My insurance won’t cover it. I encourage you to read this book and share your perspective……

As you recalled in the recent Spring 2007 issue on the DWC site regarding the main feature, “Sex and Power, there is an fascinating TV programming, “Secrets of Egypt’s Lost Queen” on the Discovery channel this week . Hatshepsut was Egypt’s greatest female king. Her mummy was lost as people in Egypt tried to investigate the whereabouts of her body.
Please see the TV listings. You will be surprised when they finally discovered the mummy’s identity.
Enjoy the show!

Gals,
With regrets, I decided to remove the DWC forum since I noticed there was no one willing to join the forum. Until some of you may be ready for it in later time, you need to notify me whether you are interested to see the DWC forum come back again. If so I will plan to put the DWC forum in a separate page.
Hopefully you will be able to post your writing here on the DWC blog for a starter! Come on you can do it!

Gals,
Just share this good word that I was honored when Alice, June and Margaret invited me to dinner at the Copper Beech Inn on June 16th to celebrate my 50th birthday. The dinner was so delicious! I sent them all the surprise thank you cards before posting this blog. See a picture of myself with birthday candles -
Of course I recommend you to go to the Copper Beech Inn if you want an excellent dinner. See the Copper Beech Inn at the web site.
My poem is inside the card to thank my great women friends as follows:
Feminists in
Celebration of 50th Birthday
Being 20th, we searched for our identities thru a series of trial and error experiment until we became Deaf women.
Being 30th, we were committed to goals for career, marriage, family and independence but we traveled apart away from each other.
Being 40th, we settled on but we were seeking for understanding, good friendship and happiness. In good time, we got together again in sharing, listening and supporting our lives.
Being 50th, we rediscovered ourselves as Deaf feminists.
