Who are Women Leaders of CT?
We need your help to provide information about Deaf women leaders in CT who were actively involved in the deaf community in past like 1900s to 1960s. I found it difficult to gather facts about CT deaf women due to lack of documentations or inadequately oral history. Please remember that the leadership should be based on volunteerism, not on “salary” or “paid”; and their causes may be recognized like making something happen or ablity to influence any change in the deaf community.
There are several names in mind like Rae LaRosa, Doris Berman, Anna Fronczek, Mary Babb or a first deaf Hartford club president (I couldn’t remember her name). Please email me with names if you remember and a brief history about why you think she was a leader. We will plan writing about this for upcoming Summer issue.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Cassandra
Dear Cassandra,
Hello! It’s Susan from T-Party Antiques and Tea Room! So nice to see you’ve started a blog. We have one too and I was hoping to write a post about the tea your group had at our tea room last November. Do you have any photos taken that day that we could use?
Many thanks.
Hi Susan,
In reply to your question about photos that we took last November 2006, yes we do have the photos as now available on display at DWC Tea Party Photo Album on the DWC Winter 2007 issue.
Do you want us to add your blog link to our blogroll? Glad to hear from you.
Cassandra
